L078 Opening leads against a No Trump contract by linda j green

We usually like to make an attacking opening lead to set up tricks in your long suit. Lead the fourth highest ( count down from the top ) from your longest and strongest suit.
Avoid leading a short suit unless partner has bid the suit.
Avoid leading Aces "from spaces" or "unprotected high cards".
Avoid leading declarer's bid suit.
Remember :
1. Three cards touching or nearly touching each other are sequences against a No Trump contract. We lead the top.
2. Two cards touching each other in a No Trump contract , we lead 4th highest .

 Your choice:
A: Q. Top of a broken sequence. With only the ten missing this is considered a sequence. If the hand was QJ62, two cards touching in a NT contract are not considered a sequence. Therefore the lead would be the two - 4th highest.

 Your choice:
A: 10. Top of an interior sequence. Responder denied a major having bid a NT. The longer major is preferable and having the 10 and the 9 we lead the ten. Should you hold K10865 or A10763 we lead 4th highest. Having A10954 or Q10943 we lead the top of an interior sequence. The ten is an unblocking card and asks partner to play the highest card in the 3rd seat.
