Choice of leads against a No-Trump contract by linda j green

Against a 3 No-Trump contract, the opponents have twice the high card points as your side, and you would like to get quick winners to defeat the contract.
However what happens when you have equal length in two suits, and need to decide which one? Occasionally you will have both a long suit and a high-card sequence to choose from?
This quiz will help you to make those choices!

 Your choice:
A: 2 - A major for sure, once the opponents do not bid Stayman. It is more appealing to lead from 2 honors than from one honor. The Ace of is your entry. Low from a 2-card sequence in a no-trump contract.
Remember: 3 cards touching or almost touching constitutes a sequence in NT.

 Your choice:
A: 10 - The heart suit is so poor in quality, that despite no Stayman, the lead of the diamond suit is much stronger in quality, and the ten is from an interior sequence. It is easier to build extra tricks from a good quality suit than from a bad hearts suit, with no intermediate cards.

 Your choice:
A: 2 - Despite no Stayman, try to lead the better suit. As the club suit has only 2 honors, low allows you to make both honors if partner does not have the Ace. Lead from what you hold, and not just a major because of no Stayman.
