"More Good News!" Responding Unusual NT by Marti Ronemus

Monday we gave you the good news about chickens scaring away mosquitoes. Today's good news might even be better. Scientists have hugely underestimated the calories used by just plain walking. Isn't that fantastic? We CAN have that sticky bun with our coffee this morning, maybe even with butter! Is life good or what.

Today we continue looking at those two-suited hands, completing the Unusual No-trump bidding sequences. And then guess what our hand is about?

(No, the fact that today is Friday the 13th has not escaped me. I've been accused of belaboring the obvious, so I'm ignoring it.)

A: Pass: Pard had many exciting, forward-going bids available and yet he took a cheap preference. He's passing up the sticky bun, and so should we. We have a minimum hand, and opposite a cheap-bidding Pard, we aren't going anywhere.
