Bidding After A 2NT Opening by Matthias Huberschwiller

In this quiz, we will look at responding to a 2NT opening. Basically, the responses are the same as over a 1NT opening, with Stayman and Transfers, except the points are not the same since opener has 20-21.

Will you find the right bids?

 K 7 3

Q: 2 - What do you bid as South?
SouthWestNorthEast
--2 NTPass

?

 Your choice:
A: 3 NT - Yes, it's the same hand, but a round later in the bidding. Your partner has bid 3, as he was asked to, and you need to bid again.

You have points for a game and are not sure of a Heart fit. Therefore, you bid 3NT. If your partner has a Heart fit, he will correct to 4, since he knows you have five of them.
