"Wake Up Little Susie" - Opener Rebids by Marti Ronemus

Did you ever wish you could just shout at your partner to pay attention? I bet that's what the Everly Brothers were thinking back in 1957 when they recorded "Wake Up Little Susie."

Our focus today is on Opener's first rebid. When we open one of a suit, it usually takes us two bids to show if we are small (12-14/15 points), medium (16-18) or large (19-21). Responder is patiently waiting to hear what we've got.

Let's show him how wide awake we are. In these examples, we are a minimum opener.
