"Paper from Poop" by Marti Ronemus

Today we celebrate CREATIVE SOLUTIONS to some of life's annoying problems. The Prague Zoo has come up with a creative solution to a HUGE problem. They have partnered with a paper-making company to turn elephant poop into paper.

Yup, it's true. With every elephant producing 300 pounds a day, something had to be done. Selling it as fertilizer was a partial solution, but apparently using it as a renewable resource for paper-making is more profitable. One is forced to wonder what the paper is like.

And our bridge tie-in... like the Prague Zoo, we often have problems that need creative solutions. How's that?

A: Pass: Bridge is a game of tricks, not points. You've got probably the most points of anyone at the table, but your suit is ratty and your Spade honors are in front of the Spade bidder. AND!! Did you do the math? If your Pard has more than a stray Queen, we'll be surprised. Interestingly, this hand is a bigger pile of poop, even with its points, than some of the small hands we've seen in this quiz.
