Welcome to Vu-Bridge (www.vubridge.com, together with associated domains such as vubridge.fr, vubridge.net and vubridge.org, the "Site"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site and the Vu-Bridge bridge-training service, including V-Blue, V-Green, Vu-Bridge Defender, Vu-Bridge Quiz, Vu-Bridge Slams, Playbooks, and any related content (together, the "Service"). By accessing the Site, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
The Service is operated by VUPLAYERS LTD, registered at 15a Main Street, Blackrock Dublin, Ireland ("Vu-Bridge", "we", "us", "our"). You can contact us for general questions, support & feedback: vubridge@gmail.com
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Vu-Bridge is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account, but we ask that you notify us promptly at vubridge@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. The Service Vu-Bridge is an internet-based bridge training tool that lets users play pre-set hands designed to improve bidding and card play. It is intended as an educational and training aid and does not constitute real-time or competitive online bridge play against other individuals. Content is delivered through, among others: V-Blue — structured lessons for beginners V-Green — a periodic newsletter of hands for declarer and defensive play Vu-Bridge Defender — monthly defensive-play hands Vu-Bridge Quiz — bidding practice challenges Playbooks — hand collections based on published bridge books or events Some content is available free of charge (e.g. sample hands, "Hand of the Week"); other content requires a paid subscription or one-off purchase. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (including specific lessons, newsletters, or features) at any time, with or without notice, particularly where content depends on third-party authors or licensing arrangements.
4. Subscriptions, Fees, and Payment Prices for subscriptions and individual products are shown on the Site at the time of purchase and are subject to change for future purchases. Payment is due at the time of order. Please allow up to 2–24 hours for order processing before your subscription becomes active.
Some subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of their term unless cancelled beforehand. There is no auto-renewal, members receive a notification by email within a month of their membership coming due. All fees are quoted in USD and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Unless required by law or expressly stated at the point of sale, purchases of digital subscription content are non-refundable once access has been granted, because content is delivered and downloaded immediately upon activation. However we do offer a 30-day money back guarantee, meaning if you're not finding what you were looking for, you can ask for a refund within 30 calendar days of your subscription. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact vubridge@gmail.com with your order number.
5. Intellectual Property All content on the Site — including hands, lessons, quizzes, newsletters, text, graphics, software, and the Vu-Bridge name and logos — is owned by or licensed to Vu-Bridge and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your own individual learning (or, for teacher accounts, for use with your own students), for as long as your subscription is active. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, resell, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Service content, or share your login credentials with others, without our prior written consent. Bridge hands based on published books, articles, or tournament results remain subject to the rights of their original authors/publishers where applicable; our licence to you does not extend beyond use within the Service.
6. Teacher and Educational Use Where the Service is used by teachers with their students, any discounted or institutional access is provided solely for use in connection with that teaching relationship and may not be resold, sublicensed, or extended to unaffiliated third parties.
7. Acceptable Use You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, other accounts, or our systems; reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying hand data or software except as permitted by these Terms; interfere with the normal operation of the Site (e.g. via malware, excessive automated requests, or denial-of-service activity). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
8. Availability and Devices The Service is accessed via a standard web browser and is designed to work on PCs, Macs, tablets, and smartphones (including Android and iOS devices). We do not guarantee that the Service will be compatible with every device, browser, or operating system, or that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Scheduled maintenance or circumstances outside our control may affect availability.
9. Disclaimers The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vu-Bridge disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in any particular improvement in your bridge skill or results.
10. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vu-Bridge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the [12 months] preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
11. Third-Party Links and Content The Site may link to or reference third-party sites, authors, or publications (for example, bridge books used as the basis for Playbooks). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party sites.
12. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify active subscribers (e.g. by posting a notice on the Site or emailing the address on your account). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with Section 4; cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current subscription period unless required by law.
14. Governing Law and Disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, save that this does not deprive consumers of any mandatory protections available to them under the law of their country of residence.
